Our Story

First Point Partners was founded in 2019 around a clear market observation: private capital investors in CEE needed a search partner with regional access, international standards and a deeper understanding of how investment organisations make people decisions.

We started with a strong focus on Central and Eastern Europe: a fragmented, relationship-led and fast-developing market where the right investment and leadership talent is not always visible through obvious channels. As our clients expanded, so did the scope of our work. Today, we support private capital funds and portfolio companies across CEE, Europe and selected international markets.

Our base in Warsaw is strategic choice. It places us at the centre of one of Europe’s most active and attractive investment regions, where local companies are scaling, international funds are deploying capital and senior talent increasingly operates across borders.

Each member of our team brings international experience from financial institutions, renowned global advisory firms and fast-growing technology businesses. We understand the pace and urgency of financial sponsors, as well as the professional language, commercial discipline and data-driven approach required in this market.

Our recent expansion into Abu Dhabi reflects the next stage of that bridge: connecting Middle Eastern capital with European talent, operators and deal ecosystems.

Private capital talent in CEE is not always visible through obvious channels. The market is relationship-led, cross-border and fragmented. Relevant candidates may sit in funds, banks, advisory firms, portfolio companies, family offices, sovereign wealth platforms, corporate development teams or founder-led businesses.

Many are not actively looking. Some are not obvious from their title. A good search partner needs to know where to look, how to read the signal behind a profile and when a move would make sense for both sides. That observation still shapes our work.

We remain intentionally focused and intentionally boutique. Every mandate is senior-led. Candidate outreach is discreet. Recommendations are evidence-based. Clients receive a view of the market, not simply a list of names.

We work closely with clients without unnecessary process or complexity, delivering better market insight, better-calibrated candidates and recommendations they can act on.

Long-term relationships, market knowledge, proprietary intelligence and our in-house search technology strengthen every search. Our technology helps us map markets, structure data, compare talent pools and build proprietary intelligence across mandates.

But technology does not replace our judgement.

In executive search, the final signal is still human. Understanding motivation, timing, leadership style, cultural fit, trust and the real conditions under which a candidate would move remains the part of our work that matters most. Technology improves the evidence. Our consultants make the judgement.

What Has Not Changed

Our work is still built around senior-led mandates, discretion, market mapping and long-term relationships with GPs, founders, portfolio boards and candidates.

We do not treat search as a transactional recruitment process. We work where hiring decisions have strategic weight: building investment teams, appointing portfolio-company leaders, strengthening finance and operations, supporting M&A-driven growth and helping clients convert an investment thesis into operating performance.

The best outcomes come from understanding both sides of the market: what the client is building and what would make a strong candidate move.

Community Building

Our work has never been limited to individual search mandates. Since the beginning, First Point Partners has invested in building a more connected private equity and private capital community across Poland and CEE.

We organise curated events, closed-door discussions and relationship-led gatherings for investors, operators, founders, advisors and senior candidates active in the private capital ecosystem. These formats give the market a place to exchange views, build trust and discuss the themes shaping investment, leadership and value creation across the region.

For us, community building is not a branding exercise. It strengthens the quality of our work. It keeps us close to the people, funds and companies shaping the market, and it helps us understand leadership needs before they become formal mandates.

First Point Partners is a retained executive search firm for private capital funds and portfolio companies across CEE, Europe and selected international markets.

Since founding, we have completed mandates across investment, capital formation, corporate development, finance, operations, technology and portfolio-company leadership.

Our work has grown from a CEE-focused search practice into a broader private capital search platform, while keeping the same operating principles: senior attention, market intelligence, discretion and human judgement.
